Huge surge in Covid Cases in Jharkhand, Ranchi, Koderma are hotbeds

A Huge spike in COVID-19 cases has been reported in several parts of Jharkhand with Ranchi and Koderma leading the infections. During last 24 hours 344 new cases have been reported.

Most infected districts with new Omicron variants of new Covid are Ranchi- 118, Koderma- 53, East Singhbhum-43, Dhanbad- 31, West Singhbhum- 22, Hazaribaug- 21 and Bokaro- 17

The most alarming part is that State govt. have not purchased even a single genome sequencing machine, which is considered necessary to detect new strain of covid.

Delhi has seen an 86% rise in daily new cases on Wednesday from Thursday with at least 238 confirmed cases of the Omicron variant.

Maharashtra has reported 85 new cases of the Omicron variant amidst recording 3,900 new COVID-19 cases and 20 deaths on Wednesday.

Goa’s active cases surged to 635, with the State reporting 170 new infections today — a nearly four-fold rise in cases in ten days.
