Ranchi: International archery players Smt. Deepika Kumari and Shri Atanu Das met Chief Minister Hemant Soren at Mantralaya in Jharkhand. Smt. Deepika Kumari and Shri Atanu Das shared the experiences of Tokyo Olympics 2020 held in the past with the Chief Minister. Both these archery players thanked the Chief Minister for the cooperation being provided by the State Government to the sports talents. In the course of the meeting, archery player Smt. Deepika Kumari told the Chief Minister that she will try to do her best to bring laurels to Jharkhand and the country in the upcoming sports competition. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren lauded the archery players Smt. Deepika Kumari and Shri Atanu Das for their excellent performance in Tokyo Olympics 2020. The Chief Minister said that there is always winning and losing in the game. The Chief Minister asked Smt. Deepika Kumari to work hard to continue making the state and the country proud with your achievements.
The Chief Minister said that government has formulated a better sports policy to promote sports in Jharkhand. Direct appointment of players has also been done under the sports policy. The state government is committed to provide better and modern facilities to the players here. The players of Jharkhand should illuminate the name of the state with their performance in the world, for this purpose the state government is providing all the facilities needed to the players. The Chief Minister asked Mrs. Deepika Kumari and Mr. Atanu Das to keep increasing the honor and respect of the state in the country and the world with your performance. The Chief Minister told Smt. Deepika Kumari that it is a matter of pride for the state that you have come so far in the sport of archery. The Chief Minister said that our thinking is that the players here should perform as much as possible in the track in which they play. Everything related to the players has been taken care of in the sports policy.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren honored both the international archery players Smt. Deepika Kumari and Shri Atanu Das and their families Shri Shiv Narayan Mahato and Smt. Geeta Devi by giving shawls. State Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh and Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey were present on the occasion.
