Heavy rain disrupted normal life,Department issued yellow alert

It is raining heavily in whole Jharkhand since late Thursday night. Due to this, the river-bringers were overflowing across the state. There was water logging in many areas. Due to the spate of rivers, water is flowing over many bridges and culverts. road traffic has come to a complete halt in many areas.

At the same time, many trains were canceled due to water logging on the rail track, while many are being run by changing the route. Within the last 24 hours, two people died in separate accidents due to rain. One death occurred in Garhwa while the other died in Chatra. In the weather forecast, a yellow alert has been issued in the north and southwest and central parts of the state on Saturday regarding the possibility of heavy rains.

Due to the cyclonic effect formed after the low pressure, it rained heavily since late Thursday night. During this, life was disrupted in Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Jamshedpur, Chaibasa, Palamu, Dumka, Deoghar. The low-lying area was flooded. Trees and houses were reported to have fallen at many places. At many places, there was a strong flow of water from the small culvert and over the bridge.

According to the Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall was recorded in Latehar at 102.0 mm. In last 24 hours, in Hendegir 96.2, Amdapara 92.0, Chatra 90.5, Balumath 89.0, Mandar 84.8, Silichak 83.5, Nandadih 79.4, Panchet 78.0, Maithon 76.4, Ranchi 76.0, Tundi 75.4, Jamtara 70.6, Lohardaga 61.6, Madhupur 53.4, Koderma 53.0, Ramgarh 51.0, Hazaribagh 44.0, Jamshedpur 43.6, Chaibasa 20.8 mm of rain.
