Hearing on fee hike in private schools in High Court

On Wednesday, the Jharkhand High Court heard the petition challenging the government’s instructions regarding not taking fees during the Karena period in private schools and on 23 July directed the Advocate General to present the side of the government. The court of Justice Rajesh Shankar gave this direction during the hearing of the petition of Jharkhand Unaided Private School Association last year.
In the petition, the president of the association and advocate Abhay Mishra had demanded from the government that the order of the government is illegal. The Supreme Court has also termed a similar decision of the government in Delhi as unconstitutional. So now this petition should be executed. The court asked the government to present its side on the argument of the association and fixed the next hearing on July 23.
