Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj Enhances Healthcare Services at Delhi High Court Dispensary

New Delhi, The healthcare arrangements at the government dispensary located within the Delhi High Court received a significant boost as Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj conducted a thorough inspection of the facility. Accompanied by Hon’ble High Court Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and legal professionals from the court, Minister Bhardwaj ensured that the dispensary is well-equipped to cater to the medical needs of those on the court premises.

 

Delhi’s commitment to providing world-class healthcare is reflected in the continuous monitoring of healthcare facilities by the government. Minister Bhardwaj’s visit is part of this initiative, aimed at maintaining organized and efficient healthcare services. During the visit, Hon’ble Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva commended the medical services provided by the Delhi Government within the court premises.

 

Present during the inspection were Shri SK Jain, Special Secretary (H&FW); Dr. Suresh Kumar, Medical Director of Lok Nayak Hospital; Dr. Vandana Bagga, Director of Health Services; Dr. Sudha Sachdeva, CDMO of New Delhi District; Dr. Neeta Single, Additional CDMO of New Delhi District; Dr. KJS Bansal, Incharge of the Medical and Health Center at Delhi High Court; Shri Mohit Mathur, President of the Delhi High Court Bar Association; and Shri Sandeep Sharma, Secretary of the Delhi High Court Bar Association.

 

The Delhi Government, led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is dedicated to providing top-tier medical facilities throughout the city. Minister Bhardwaj’s regular inspections of government hospitals and dispensaries demonstrate the government’s commitment to this vision. Following a recent visit to the Delhi Government’s dispensary in the Supreme Court, the Delhi High Court Bar Association requested Minister Bhardwaj’s presence at the High Court dispensary. He graciously accepted the request and visited the facility.

 

Minister Bhardwaj stated, “Our priority is the health of the people of Delhi, and we do not tolerate any negligence in fulfilling this responsibility. When I inspected the High Court dispensary, Hon’ble Justice Shri Sanjeev Sachdeva and the lawyers present praised the medical facilities provided by the Delhi Government. Almost all types of tests and treatments are provided free of cost in the dispensary.”

 

He also acknowledged that the High Court lawyers had some additional demands, including increasing staff due to the growing number of lawyers, replacing outdated dental equipment, deploying ENT specialists, upgrading X-ray and ultrasound machines, introducing wax therapy in the physiotherapy department, launching a 24-hour helpline service for treatment at Loknayak Hospital, providing basic life support training, and implementing computerized OPD registration.

 

Minister Bhardwaj assured the lawyers that their demands would be considered and addressed promptly. He emphasized the importance of taking care of the health of lawyers and judges who play a crucial role in the justice system.

 

In response to one of the demands, Minister Bhardwaj announced, “A dental surgeon will be posted in the dispensary soon,” ensuring that all health needs, including dental care, are met conveniently within the High Court premises.

 

The visit reaffirms the Delhi Government’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare services and addressing the specific requirements of the legal community within the High Court.
