Srinagar, A fish farm has sustained substantial loss due to a cloud burst in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, officials said.
A private fish farm at Gutlibagh, in Ganderbal, was damaged due to the cloudburst and lost all fishes, they added.
However, there was no report of any loss of human life in the incident.
Meanwhile, the Private Fish Farm owners have appealed to the Government, especially Principal Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production & Fisheries Department, and also Director Fisheries J&K to consider an Insurance scheme for private fish farms, to safeguard, against damages due to natural disasters, including floods.
