Ranchi EW News: A program to expand the Bharat Yatra initiative has been initiated in tribal areas, including Ranchi, Jharkhand. The program has commenced in nine tribal-dominated districts of Jharkhand, namely Dumka, Godda, Gumla, Khunti, Sahibganj, West Singhbhum, Palamu, Pakur, and Simdega. This initiative aims to raise awareness about various welfare schemes initiated by the Indian government and to enhance public awareness of these schemes through outreach activities. The expanded Bharat Yatra program began in the urban area of Ranchi on February 7th. Under this extended journey, camps will be organized in a total of 28 urban local bodies in Ranchi and 42 urban local bodies in Dhanbad. Moreover, awareness camps will also be organized in selected gram panchayats in tribal-dominated districts. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off this journey from Khunti, Jharkhand, on November 15, 2023, launching various Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans simultaneously from different parts of the country. This initiative by the central government ensures that every individual in the nation, even those in remote areas, can benefit from these social welfare schemes. During the journey, various services are being provided to the public, including on-spot enrollment for the PM Ujjwala Yojana, MV Bharat Sevak registration, and distribution of Ayushman cards. A large number of citizens are also engaging with various government schemes, showcasing substantial public participation in the journey. Through the Bharat Yatra, the public is encouraged to exercise their rightful entitlements effectively.
