Ranchi: Under the chairmanship of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Shri Ravi Kumar, the core committee meeting of Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was convened. The primary agenda of the meeting was to outline voter awareness activities in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
During the discussion, CEO Kumar not only provided suggestions but also appealed to all participating organizations across the state to intensify their efforts in making voters more aware. He highlighted the evolving nature of the SVEEP initiative, emphasizing the need to leverage both traditional and digital media platforms for greater outreach. He also appealed to organizations such as NSS, Scouts and Guides, and Nehru Yuva Kendra to play a proactive role in voter awareness.
Expressing gratitude towards the media personnel of the state, CEO Kumar acknowledged the continuous support from the state media and expressed hope for enhanced collaboration in the upcoming election year. The meeting also deliberated on proposed awareness activities, including the release of the voter list on January 22, accompanied by a social media campaign with the hashtag #IamReadyToVote.
Various dignitaries attended the meeting, including OSD Smt. Geeta Chaube, Deputy Secretary Shri Devdas Datta, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer (Headquarters) Shri Sanjay Kumar, Deputy Secretary of IPRD Shri Chandra Bhushan Kumar, representatives from Doordarshan, NSS, Nehru Yuva Kendra, and Ranchi Press Club.
