District Administration Issues Directive for Law and Order Maintenance

Palamu: In a joint leadership meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shashi Ranjan and Superintendent of Police (SP) Reeshma Rameshan, the district authorities discussed strategies to ensure legal order in the region. DC Shashi Ranjan emphasized the significance of maintaining law and order during upcoming religious events and competitive exams organized by the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). As various religious ceremonies are scheduled for January 22 in Ayodhya, officials were instructed to stay vigilant in their respective areas.

Addressing concerns about the spread of misinformation on social media, DC Shashi Ranjan cautioned against the career of rumors on these platforms. He urged all police officials to monitor and control the use of social media, ensuring that DJ music is played only during designated hours. Any objectionable content reported on social media against an official will be dealt with under the IT Act.

Furthermore, DC Shashi Ranjan highlighted the availability of drones in the district for officers who require them and warned of consequences for officials not present on duty. He emphasized the importance of social harmony in the district and directed all officers to remain reachable via mobile phones, maintaining constant vigilance.

SP Reeshma Rameshan instructed all station in-charges to regularly patrol sensitive areas in their jurisdictions and ensure heightened security around religious sites. The meeting was attended by various officials, including the Municipal Commissioner, Assistant Superintendent Ravi Kumar, several police officers, and Special Branch officials
