Palamu, The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha) convened a crucial meeting on Wednesday at the Collectorate’s conference hall, presided over by Palamu MP Bishnu Dayal Ram. The gathering aimed to review the progress of ongoing development schemes dedicated to the welfare of the local populace within the district.

During the meeting, MP Bishnu Dayal Ram expressed his discontent regarding the sluggish pace of certain schemes and directed pointed queries to the concerned officials. Moreover, the decisions taken in previous meetings and their subsequent implementation were thoroughly scrutinized.

A comprehensive review was conducted for an array of schemes, encompassing the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Social Security Pension, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, National Rural Drinking Water Program, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, National Health Mission, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and the execution of the National Food Security Act.

Within the meeting, representatives articulated concerns regarding inadequacies in the work executed by various departments across the district, bringing them to the chairman’s immediate attention. In response, Chairman Vishnu Dayal Ram emphasized the need for adhering to predefined targets and ensuring timely project completion.

Several representatives highlighted issues related to the inauguration or foundation laying ceremonies of infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, culverts, and others, not being adequately communicated by the respective departments.
