New Delhi, The residents of Delhi on Wednesday woke up to a cloudy morning, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted light to moderate rain towards evening or night.
The minimum was settled at 25.2 degree Celsius.
“The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 34 degrees Celsius whereas the relative humidity at 8:30 a.m. was 80 per cent,” said the IMD.
The maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 35.4 degree Celsius.
IMD also predicted heavy rain for September 16 in isolated places in Delhi.
“Light intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of Katrauli, Gulaothi and Chandpur (UP) during the next 2 hours,” Said IMD in its 9:15 am bulletin.
In a detailed forecast, the IMD said “Depression over north Chhattisgarh & adjoining East MP weakened into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over northeast Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood at 0530 hrs IST of today, move west-northwest wards across north MP and weaken gradually.”
Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi has remained in the moderate category in most of the places on Wednesday morning.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) the Air quality index (AIQ) in Anand Vihar stood at 128 at 10 am.
