COVID-19 recoveries continue to exceed daily cases in Arunachal

Itanagar, Maintaining its declining trend in COVID-19 infections persistently, Arunachal Pradesh continued to witness the COVID recoveries outnumbering the daily cases.

The state saw 37 persons getting recuperated from the viral infection during the past 24 hours, while seven fresh cases registered in the period mounted its tally of confirmed cases to 54,987.

With recovery of 37 cases, the state’s active caseload dipped to 140 while the total number of cured/discharged cases increased to 54,567.

The State recorded 280 COVID-19 casualties so far.

Four of the seven new cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex, while Upper Siang detected two cases and Tawang one case. Three of the total cases were found to be asymptomatic and four symptomatic.

The State tested just 974 samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours that took its cumulative figure to 11,71,144.

Meanwhile, Arunachal’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage exceeded the 12.57 lakh mark. Atleast 76 percent of the state’s population of 18-plus have been administered the first dose of anti-Covid vaccine, while 48 percent were fully inoculated under the nationwide inoculation drive since its launch in January last.
