CM should tell how many deaths in Jharkhand due to lack of oxygen: Deepak Prakash

Ranchi: State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash on Thursday demanded the state government to provide the details of the patients who have died due to lack of oxygen while battling Coronavirus in Jharkhand. He said the Chief Minister should tell the number of the people who have died due to lack of oxygen and should not indulge in mere making statements to mislead the people.

Mr Prakash said the statement given by the Union Minister in the Parliament was based on the reports which were submitted by the separate state governments and even such states where Congress is in power they too have not accepted deaths due to lack of oxygen.

Mr Prakash said that health is a matter of state subject therefore on the basis of the reports given by the state governments the reply was given in the parliament. He demanded the state government to make its report public which it had sent to the center. Mr Prakash said the mismanagement by the state government is open from day one.

He said despite all possible help extended by New Delhi the state government did not pay any attention towards proper management of the resources which was evident from the fact the ventilators were dumped in trash and despite approval for oxygen plants which were sanctioned one year earlier no work was done. He alleged that rumours were also spread over vaccination and deliberately wastage of Coronavirus vaccines was done and the state government instead of serving the people remained busy blaming the centre. Mr Prakash said only those people are giving statement over oxygen deaths who were waving green flags to the oxygen express trains which were sent by the centre.
