New Delhi, Chief Justice of India justice N V Ramana has written to IT and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to resolve the poor digital connectivity in rural and remote areas as it is adversely affecting the pace of justice delivery.
CJI Ramana, during a book launch ceremony said, “The poor connectivity in rural, tribal, remote and hilly areas is adversely impacting the pace of justice delivery.’
Due to digital divide, lawyers were being pushed out of the system, the CJI claimed.
He also requested the Minister to help the young lawyers who have lost their jobs to the pandemic.
The CJI urged the Union Minister to give priority to lawyers and their associates as frontline workers in Covid-19 vaccination.
