Ranchi : In a continued effort to ensure 75% employment for local youth in the private sector, Chief Minister Hemant Soren will distribute offer letters to 2500 skilled individuals. The ceremony, held at the Tan Bhagat Stadium in Khelgaon, will see youth securing opportunities in leading companies such as Arvind Textiles, Kishor Exports, Shri Ganpati Creations, Urban Design Pvt Ltd, Matrix Clothing, Valencia Apparels, and Orient Craft Textiles. This initiative follows the successful organization of regional job fairs, where under the former Chief Minister’s guidance, approximately 56,000 youth received private sector job offers.
Result of Hemant Soren’s Initiatives: In December 2021, several textile plants were inaugurated in the Kulhi Industrial Area near Ranchi, thanks to Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s efforts. In just three years, over 10,000 youth have found employment in Ranchi, with the textile factories not only providing jobs but also improving living conditions. The village, once lacking roads, now shines brightly, offering essential amenities to every household and providing employment opportunities for both men and women.
Diverse Workforce from Different States: Jharkhand’s daughters, who had been brought back during the COVID-19 pandemic or were engaged in work in various states, have been reintegrated into the workforce based on the Chief Minister’s directives. Some laborers rescued from the newly constructed tunnels in Uttarakhand have also been provided employment in the textile plants in Kulhi.
Textile Industry Exporting Abroad: The textile industry in the Kulhi Industrial Area is manufacturing clothes for internationally renowned brands using local skilled youth and world-class machinery. From Ranchi, branded jeans, pants, shirts, children’s clothing, ladies’ wear, woolen wear, and undergarments are being exported to countries including the UK, USA, and Germany. The thriving textile industry in Jharkhand, supported by the state government’s favorable textile policies, is expected to grow significantly, providing employment to over a lakh people in Kulhi’s factories in the coming years.
