Ranchi: In a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan’s Darbar Hall on Friday, Jharkhand Governor Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Champai Soren as the Chief Minister. Alongside, Mr. Alamgir Alam and Mr. Satyanand Bhokta also took the oath as ministers. Jharkhand, having separated from Bihar 23 years ago, has witnessed 11 Chief Ministers within this period, with Raghuvar Das completing his entire term. Champai Soren, rooted in grassroots activism, hails from Jilinggoda village in Saraikela-Kharsawan district, actively contributing to the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s early struggles in the Kolhan region. Born in Simal Soren’s family of farmers, he played a pivotal role in the state’s formation movement after Bihar’s separation.
