Bharat Jeet Mahato (23), a student of KMPM College, has got his name in the Asia Book of Records by carving pictures of 12 monuments of the country on peepal leaves. For this he has been awarded the award. He is the first leaf artist from Jharkhand and Bihar to get this title.
Bharat Jeet says- Learned to make leaf art from YouTube in leisure moments in the last lockdown. One day while making art, I saw a video on social media.Then the urge to learn arose and started regular practice. Mastered leaf art in just four months.
He told that it takes an hour to make an art. Bharat Jeet is a resident of Chandil, adjacent to Jamshedpur. He did his schooling from Saraswati Vidya Mandir. Jeet is currently preparing for government job. He has also carved the faces of many Indian artists on peepal leaves.
Bharatjit said- “Leaf art is more prevalent in Kerala. Learned to make art on leaves by contacting the artists there through social media. It took four months. 12 The records of the artwork made on the memorial leaf are recorded in the Asia Book. I can make any face or artwork in the world in leaves in an hour. Artwork is made by cutting leaves with a blade.”

Taj Mahal (Agra), Amberfort (Jaipur), India Gate (Delhi), Char Minar (Hyderabad), Mysore Palace (Mysore), Gateway of India (Delhi), Red Fort (Delhi), Amar Jawan Jyoti (Delhi), Lotus Temple (Delhi), Bibi Ka Maqbara (Aurangabad), Qutub Minar (Delhi) have been built.
