New Delhi, EW News: In a tribute to the legacy of the late Dattaji Didolkar, founding member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and senior pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the ABVP National Conference is set to host a remarkable exhibition at the ‘Dattaji Didolkar Exhibition Hall’ during its 69th National Conference in Delhi, from December 7th to 10th.
Dattaji Didolkar, a pivotal figure in the establishment of the ABVP and a dedicated pracharak, will be honored on the occasion of his birth centenary at the exhibition, which will feature eight compelling themes reflecting the rich cultural and historical tapestry of Bharat. The exhibition, meticulously prepared by over 200 students from various arts colleges nationwide, promises an immersive journey through themes such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Hindavi Swarajya, the authentic history of Delhi, the heroic saga of the freedom movement, Bharat as Vishwaguru, 75 years of ABVP’s history, the organization’s impactful activities, national integration, and environmental consciousness.
The sprawling ‘Dattaji Didolkar Exhibition Hall’ will be located near Burari Crossing in Delhi’s expansive DDA Ground, transformed into a tent city named Indraprastha Nagar, accommodating around ten thousand students. This unique exhibition will showcase over 160 paintings depicting pivotal moments in history, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the real history of Delhi, national integration, and the independence movement. The artistic display will be complemented by meticulously crafted sculptures made from clay and sand.
Yagywalkya Shukla, ABVP National General Secretary, emphasized the significance of understanding history through a Bharatiya perspective. He stated, “Commemorating Dattaji Didolkar’s birth centenary by dedicating the exhibition hall in his name is a tribute to his immense contributions to the nation. The exhibition, covering a vast array of historical and cultural themes, is poised to inspire thousands of students participating in the ABVP National Conference from across the nation.”
