CM Soren, Inaugurates Longest Bridge Over Mayurakshi River

Promises Extensive Development in the Region

Ranchi: Connectivity through roads and bridges is pivotal for multifaceted development. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren, during the inauguration ceremony of the state’s longest bridge over the Mayurakshi River in Kumradabad, Dumka district, emphasized the significant role played by road and bridge development in fostering extensive progress. The Chief Minister, on this occasion, inaugurated 11 roads constructed at a cost of INR 3,91,41,83,896 and laid the foundation stone for 12 roads, amounting to INR 1,43,26,05,500.

Shri Soren highlighted that the newly constructed bridge over the Mayurakshi River will pave the way for a new direction in development. It will simplify and ease transportation, enabling direct connectivity between several villages and the Dumka district headquarters. This initiative will save time for the residents during their travel, boost education, employment, trade, and contribute to the socio-economic upliftment of the area. Additionally, it will enhance tourism prospects, making the region a significant destination.

The Chief Minister assured that the government is committed to providing every citizen their due rights and respect. In this series, the third phase of the “Your Plan, Your Government, Your Doorstep” program is commencing. Officials will visit households, organize camps in villages, address issues, and ensure the benefits of government schemes reach the people. The government is actively working towards connecting the underprivileged and needy with social security measures, including the Universal Pension Scheme, ensuring no eligible person is left out.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister announced the initiation of the Abuwa Housing Scheme, aiming to provide homes to families without shelter. Under this scheme, eight lakh families will be provided housing facilities.

Shri Soren emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to empower youth. Large-scale appointments are being made on vacant positions in government departments, and job fairs are being organized to secure jobs in private companies and institutions. Moreover, the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme is assisting individuals who aspire for self-employment.

Addressing the rural population, Shri Soren encouraged parents to educate their children without worrying about expenses. The government will bear the educational costs, from competitive exam preparations to courses like medical, engineering, and law. Additionally, the government is offering 100% scholarships for studying abroad. The Savitribai Phule Kishori Savitri Scheme is being implemented to empower young girls through education.

During the event, Agriculture Minister Shri Badal, Member of Parliament Shri Vijay Hansda, MLA Shri Nalin Soren, District Council President Shrimati Joyas Besra, Chief Secretary Shri Vinay Kumar Choubey, Principal Secretary of Road Construction Shri Sunil Kumar, District Magistrate Shri Lalchand Dadhel, Deputy Inspector General of Police Shri Sudarshan Prasad Mandal, along with other district officials and authorities, were present.
