Rift between Congress and JMM in Jharkhand

Congress boycotted Rulinģ Parties meet ahead of Assembly session

Everything is not fine between ruling JMM and Congress in Jharkhand. Ahead of Assembly session Congress MLAs are not happy with the way they are being treated in ruling coalition. Rift is so deep that Congress didn’t attended ruling party meetings to finalise coalition strategy during winter session of Assembly.

Congress is angry on two main issues

Congress want a review on list of local languages which are compulsory to get selected in Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) exams. Congress is not happy after exclusion of Magahi, Maithili and Bhojpuri from the list and wants review on that. Second, Congress wants Hemant Government to go ahead on 27 percent Reservation for OBC. These are important issues for Congress but JMM is ignoring them inspite of repeated plea from ruling partner.

No threat on Govt but it against coalition Dharma: Congress

Is JMM taking its ruling partners for granted?

Congress leaders are not ready to speak on this issue but on condition of animosity one newly appointed party spokesman told The Emerging world that there is no threat to Hemant Soren’s government but it is also true that JMM is ignoring Congress and it can’t be without silent support of CM himself. We have joined hands to keep BJP out of power but it cannot happen at cost of our swaabhiman (Self prestige).
