TSPC ultra nabbed following gun battle with Palamu Police

Daltonganj, An ultra belonging to the Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee has been arrested following a gun battle which took place in Kedal forest located under Manatu Police Station area of the Palamu district.
Briefing the press on Friday Palamu SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said that a tip off had been received regarding the presence of TSPC zonal commander Sashikant alongwith his squad in Kedal forest which is situated on bordering areas of Palamu and Chatra district.
Post the information two teams were constituted which conducted search inside the forest. Upon seeing the policemen the ultras opened fire which was retaliated back. As the pressure increased the ultras fell into deeper reaches of the forest but one of them lost balance and fell was nabbed.
He was later identified as Kislay Kumar Singh from whom a desi katta and two live cartridges were found alongwith pamphlets of the outfit. The SP said that a total of 8 cases are registered against him in separate police stations of the district.
