Ranchi, Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday reached the headquarters of the Jharkhand Jaguar at Sukurhutu and paid his tributes to deputy commandent Rajesh Kumar who was martyred in a battle with JJMP ultras which took place a day earlier in Latehar district.
The Chief Minister prayed to the almighty to rest his soul in peace and give strength to the family members to overcome the burden of loss. He also interacted with the wife and sons of the martyr and offered his condolences.
Later the mortal remains of the officer was sent to his ancestral place located in Munger district of Bihar.
Brother of the martyr deputy commandent said that he was proud of the valour and sacrifice of his brother. He said that the maoists have diverted from their path and are now doing business.
Among others Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh, DGP Neeraj Sinha, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajeev Arun Ekka and other officials also paid their tributes to the martyr.
Rajesh Kumar had joined the BSF on November 12, 2007 and originally was posted in 84th battalion of BSF in Krishnanagar of West Bengal and three years earlier he was deputed in Jharkhand Jaguar. He had participated in many operations in LWE area.
