More than 1.70 cr people vaccinated in state says CM, Efforts being made to speed up vaccination

Ranchi, Chief Minister Hemant Soren flagged off the Covid-19 Vaccine Express in Jharkhand from Dhurwa Grounds adjacent to Old Vidhan Sabha premises here.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that 60 mobile vaccination vans are being dispatched to different districts of the state with the aim of speeding up the Covid-19 vaccination campaign in the state. All these vans will serve as “Tika Express” to take the vaccination campaign to the masses. 

The Chief Minister said that all preparations have been made by the state government to deal with the possible challenge arising out of corona infection. The work of getting the people vaccinated left out by running “Tika Express” in all the districts of the state is starting from today. With the help of these “Vaccine Expresses” it will be easier for people to get the vaccine. This facility will be available to the people at their homes only.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that till date more than 1 crore 70 lakh people across the state have been vaccinated against Covid-19 while about 40 lakh people have also received the second dose of the vaccine.

The Chief Minister said that in order to reach the maximum number of people in the state, the vaccination campaign has been launched in the state with the help of CARE India. The Chief Minister said that even earlier during the period of Covid-19 pandemic the State Government has worked to reach out to the people through new programmes to speed up the vaccination campaign.

Hemant Soren said that very limited medicines are available in the country and the world to treat the infection of Covid-19. Scientists have discovered the Covid-19 vaccine to avoid the spread infection. All of us will get protection from Covid-19 by getting the vaccine, as well as by using our understanding and discretion. He said that people should use their wisdom and save themselves as well as their family from this virus.

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to take necessary measures to avoid contacting Covid-19 as risk of infection is not over yet. He asked the people not to take the virus lightly therefore it is necessary that the guidelines of the government should be followed at all times.  

He once again urged the people to include essential preventive measures like wearing face mask, maintaing social distancing, sanitizing hands in their daily lives. State Health Minister Banna Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Principal Secretary of Health Department Arun Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey others were present.
