Congress Dalit arguments falls flat says BJP after Rawat’s remark

New Delhi, Dalit arguments of Congress party falls flat, said the BJP National General Secretary B L Santosh over the Harish Rawat’s comment that “Sidhu will be the face in coming Punjab assembly elections”.

Talking to twitter, Mr Santosh said, “The entire #Toolkit team is dead silent today. After State Incharge @harishrawatcmuk statement of ‘Siddu will be the face in coming assembly elections’ , the ‘Dalit CM’ argument falls flat ,”.

“For @INCIndia & @RahulGandhi Dalits are only a matter of strategy not emotion,” he added.

Meanwhile, the National Secretary of BJP Vinod Sonkar, alleged that, “the Congress party as per its nature once again pretending to have love toward Dalit,”.

“The people of Punjab have rejected the Congress and its government in the state but now the party appointed a Dalit face as its Chief Minister Minster only for six month has exposed it’s real face,”he added.

BJP leaders made these remarks, after Congress Party in-charge in Punjab Harish Rawat said that under the given circumstance the upcoming polls will be fought under Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu.

On Sunday, the Congress selected Charanjit Singh Channi for the chief minister’s chair, making him the first Dalit to hold the post in the state, a day after Captain Amarinder Singh resigned following a bitter months-long power tussle in the party.
