Aurangabad, The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 141 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths in the past 24 hours, health authorities informed.
The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts in the region, Beed district was the worst-affected with 67 cases and 3 deaths, followed by Aurangabad with 21 cases and 2 deaths, Parbhani with 3 cases and single death, Osmanabad 30 cases , Latur registered 12 cases, Nanded had 6 cases and Jalna registered 2 cases.
Meanwhile, Hingoli did not report any new COVID case.
During the past 24 hours, 4,507 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 64,86,174.
The state also registered 67 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,37,774.
