EW News Ranchi: With the New Year festivities around the corner, Ranchi’s District Administration has issued strict directives to ensure safety and security at the district’s popular waterfalls, dams, and tourist spots. Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri has instructed concerned authorities to take proactive measures to prevent any untoward incidents Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Utkarsh Kumar directed the District Tourism Officer to ensure that danger zones at all waterfalls are clearly marked and flagged. This precaution is aimed at alerting visitors and preventing accidents. Increased Surveillance: Police station in-charges have been instructed to intensify patrolling in their respective areas, especially around waterfalls and dams. Continuous and strict monitoring is to be maintained to ensure public safety. Coordination Among Officials: The SDO has directed Block Development Officers, Circle Officers, police in-charges, and Tourism Mitras to remain vigilant in their respective areas. They are to prioritize safety measures and ensure that large crowds gathering at these locations during the New Year period do not face any hazards. As seen in previous years, a significant number of people are expected to visit waterfalls and picnic spots in Ranchi during the New Year celebrations. The administration’s proactive steps aim to manage the influx efficiently while prioritizing the safety of all visitors. The District Administration has urged visitors to follow safety guidelines and cooperate with officials. Tourists are advised to avoid restricted areas and exercise caution while enjoying the scenic beauty of Ranchi’s natural attractions. These measures underscore the administration’s commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone celebrating the New Year at Ranchi’s picturesque locations.
