NOIDA, EW Correspondent: In preparation for the consecration ceremony of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya scheduled for January 22, devotees of Lord Shri Ram are extending invitations to households as part of the “Akshat Distribution” program. Since January 2, a group of devotees carrying consecrated kalash (urns) of Lord Shri Ram has been visiting homes.
As part of this initiative, the activists of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal, led by Gautam Budh Nagar district’s Bhagat Singh Prakhand, organized a grand procession and distributed blessed akshat (consecrated rice) in the Shahberi area of Greater Noida. The procession, starting from the Shiv Shakti Temple in Devgri Green area of Shahberi, concluded at the Shri Durga Hanuman Temple in Gali Number 11 of Balaji Enclave.
The procession, led by Prakhand Adhyaksha (District President) Amit Rana and Prakhand Mantri (District Minister) Manish Kumar, saw the participation of several activists, including Rajiv Sharma, Ramji, Vivek Duve, Pankit Kaushik, and others. The event was marked by enthusiasm and devotion as the devotees distributed consecrated akshat and extended invitations to residents, invoking a sense of religious fervor in the community.
This initiative by the VHP and Bajrang Dal aims to engage the community in the spiritual preparations leading up to the momentous occasion of the Shri Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony in Ayodhya.
