3 Day Men’s and Women’s CM Invitation Football Cup Competition

Ranchi: The concluding ceremony of the three-day Jharkhand State-level Men’s and Women’s Chief Minister Invitation Football Cup Competition witnessed the presence of honorable Minister of Tourism, Sports, Culture, and Youth Affairs, Mohammad Hafizul Hasan Ansari. The event took place with the welcoming of guests by Manish Kumar, Deputy Director of Sports, Rajesh Tiwari, Under Secretary of the Sports Department, and sports officials from various districts.
As part of the National Youth Day celebrations on Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, the minister offered floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda’s portrait. The proceedings on stage were efficiently conducted by coaches Ajay Jha and Vishwajeet Patra.
The concluding remarks and vote of thanks were presented by Rajiv Lochan Bakshi, Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations.
Minister Mohammad Hafizul Hasan Ansari honored the winning players with cash prizes, medals, and trophies. Additionally, recognition was given to eleven outstanding players from across the state under the Player Recognition Cash Award scheme. Financial assistance was extended to five players under the Player Welfare Fund, and seven coaches and players received support for skill development courses through the Coach and Player Skill Development Scheme.
In the women’s category, Ranchi district secured the first position by defeating West Singhbhum 2-0 in a competitive match. East Singhbhum claimed the third position, and Ranchi was the fourth runner-up.
In the men’s category, Dhanbad district emerged victorious by defeating Ranchi district in a tough match with a score of 1-0. Pakur secured the third position, while Lohardaga district stood fourth.
Manish Murmu from Dhanbad district received the Best Player award in the men’s category, and Vicky Kumar from Ranchi district was honored as the Best Goalkeeper. In the women’s category, Poonam Kumari from Ranchi district received the Best Player award, and Lakshmi Murmu from West Singhbhum district was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper.
