Two arrested with English liquor worth Rs 1 lakh in Latehar

Latehar, Police has arrested two smugglers who were trying to smuggle English liquor worth Rs 1 lakh into Bihar from Chandwa Police Station area of this district on Sunday. The arrested have been identified as Abhinav Kumar Singh and Basant Lohra both hailing from Ranchi district while a car in which they were carrying the liquor was also seized. Police said that SDPO Santosh Kumar Mishra had received a tip off that in a car huge quantity of illegal english liquor was being smuggled into Bihar after which a vehicle checking drive was launched on NH-39 during which the seizure was made.
