MP govt. lifts Sunday lockdown in the state with immediate effect

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh government has withdrawn Sunday lockdown in the state with immediate effect. However, the night curfew will continue across the state as earlier. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan cited improvement in the coronavirus situation in the state as reason for lifting the Sunday curfew. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Corona is under control in Madhya Pradesh. 35 districts of the state did not report a single new positive case. State reported 46 new cases of Covid 19 while 204 patients have recovered from infection. Currently there are 927 active cases remaining in the state. The seven-day positivity rate is 0.1 percent. Meanwhile, on the fourth day of the Mega Vaccination Campaign , the state has topped the country in vaccination with the vaccination of more than 9 lakh 64 thousand people.
