Jharkhand HC directs Ranchi Police to provide security to Rupa Tirkey family members

Ranchi, The Jharkhand High Court has directed the Ranchi Police to provide security to the family members of late Sub Inspector Rupa Tirkey. The court of justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi while hearing the criminal written petition filed by the father of Rupa Tirkey on Thursday directed Ranchi SSP to provide security to the family members. The court also directed the state government to file a counter affidavit within four weeks and fixed July 29 as the next date of hearing in the case. During the hearing which was held through video conferencing, the government said that a committee has been set up under former Chief Justice Vinod Kumar Gupta to probe the incident. The father of the late Sub Inspector has approached the court demanding a CBI probe into the death of his daughter.
