Bokaro, A jawan of the home guard was runover by a speeding car at Hospital Mode under Chandankiyari Police Station area of this district.

The deceased has been identified as Vasudeo Ojha a resident of Chandankiyari Ojha Tola. He was posted on night duty at Chandankiyari block.

Police said that the home guard jawan was returning to his home from work in the morning when a silver coloured car hit his motorcycle due to which he sustained serious injuries and died. After the incident, the car driver fled from the spot.

Later a police team sent the body for post-mortem.
