Excise department raided two places in Jamshedpur, 48 boxes of foreign liquor recovered; one arrested

Jamshedpur; The Excise Department launched a raid campaign against the sale of illegal liquor. During this, 37 boxes of foreign liquor were recovered from a cottage-like house in Kitadih in Parsudih and 11 from Vinod Das's house in Kovali. Liquor seller Vinod Das was arrested from Kovali. Whereas the Excise Department is finding out the identity of the seller of liquor in a hut-like house in Kitadih. The value of the seized liquor is believed to be around Rs 3 lakh. This action was taken on secret information. Excise Department ASI Mahendra Devgan told that information was received that liquor is being sold secretly in Kitadih and Kovali. Liquor boxes were recovered during a raid at a cottage-like house in Kitadih. There was no one in that house. There the seller of liquor is being traced. In Kovali, the department had received information about Vinod Das selling liquor stealthily from his house. During the raid, liquor boxes were recovered from Vinod Das's house. It is learned that Vinod Das was selling liquor from his house for the last several months. He has been arrested. (Agencies)
