Congress MP Geeta Koda Joins BJP, Receives Party Membership from State President

Ranchi EW News : In a significant political development, Geeta Koda, the wife of former Chief Minister Madhu Koda and Member of Parliament from Singhbhum, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday evening. She was welcomed into the party by the state president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi. Geeta Koda's departure from the Congress party comes amidst allegations of the Congress government led by Madhu Koda indulging in corruption and neglecting tribal welfare. The BJP leadership, including senior figures like Sandeep Verma and Sanju Pandey, hailed her entry into the party, stating that it will strengthen the BJP not only in Kolhan but across Jharkhand. Opposition leader Amar Kumar Bauri praised Geeta Koda for choosing to combat corruption and appeasement politics by joining the opposition. He emphasized that BJP is committed to furthering Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of development and ensuring victory in all 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand. Geeta Koda expressed gratitude towards the BJP's central and state leadership, highlighting the growing trust of the people in Prime Minister Modi's leadership. She criticized the opposition alliance for lacking clear policies and intentions, accusing them of merely seeking power for personal gain. Geeta Koda affirmed her belief that only the BJP can ensure inclusive development for all sections of society, particularly the tribal communities.
