Jammu, Jammu Police have foiled a major terror attack by arresting a terrorist of "The Resistance Front" (TRF) with 5-kg improvised explosive device (IED) in Narwal area here in the city's outskirts, officials said.
A senior police officer said that the Special Operation Group team have arrested a terrorist with explosives.
"The terrorist was arrested from near a prominent shopping mall with arms, ammunition and five-kg IED," the officer said.
He said that a major terror plot in Jammu City has been averted with this timely arrest.
"The terrorist was immediately whisked away to a safe house for sustained interrogation to ascertain whether their other contacts have also managed to sneak into Jammu or not," he added.
