Dhami's Efforts Boost Champawat Economy for Investors

Investors summit is going to held on December 30th, 2023 at Champawat district in Uttarakhand.

Champawat,The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Champawat being developed as a model district would become a role model not only for Uttarakhand but for all the Himalayan states. The innovative projects being done for the development of Champawat will serve as a guideline for all the hilly states and districts of the country. Along with the district administration engaged in developing Champawat district as a model district, the Chief Minister directed all concerned stakeholders that 100 percent documentation in this regard should be brought to the ground and it should be continuously monitored.

He reviewed the online dashboard based on different geographical locations of Champawat, and the online dashboard based on the progress of various departmental schemes running under district Champawat. He said that such online dashboards would also be developed on a large scale in the state of Uttarakhand.


The Chief Minister further said that the work done by the representatives from the Office of the Chief Scientific Advisor visiting Champawat will certainly play an important role in the development of Champawat and Uttarakhand. He said that the state will be developed according to Champawat district which is full of different geographical conditions. In the coming time, there is a plan to start many big projects as pilot projects in the Champawat district.


Pushkar Singh Dhami said that UCOST has an important role in developing Champawat as a model district. He said that work is being done at a fast pace to make Uttarakhand a model state amongst the entire Himalayan states. He said that Champawat is covered with natural beauty, a clean environment and temples. We have to touch new heights of development by finding possibilities in all these.
The Chief Minister said that through science and technology, plans should also be made on how development can be established within the district Champawat. He said that attention is also being given to basic facilities like agriculture, horticulture and health education.
Director General Uttarakhand State Council For science And Technology (UCOST )Prof Durgesh Pant informed that a science center will be established in Champawat district. Along with this, the Himalayan Knowledge Corridor is also being developed for the entire Himalayan states. He said that UCOST is constantly working to advance development plans by coordinating with each department. Documentation of each scheme is also being done.

Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Dhami, Champawat district, which was established in 1997 in erstwhile Uttar Pradesh but witnessed inadequate infrastructural development, has undergone a spectacular transformation. Following the separation and the subsequent wait for progress, Dhami's rise to power in Uttarakhand, supported by the Champawat Legislative Assembly, has unleashed the district's full potential. Today, Champawat stands as a captivating destination for profitable investment ventures in India. The value of land has witnessed exponential growth, while the infrastructure is set to reach new standards. As a result of this remarkable governance, the local residents are filled with immense contentment, relishing the positive changes brought forth by the government.
