Two labourers dead in Ramgarh following under-construction well cave-in

Ramgarh, Two labourers lost their lives following an under construction well cave-in which took place in Dulmi of this district on Monday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Bartu Mahto and Dhaneshwar Munda while two other labourers have sustained injuries. Upon receiving information Dulmi BDO Vijaynath Mishra reached on the spot and sent the injured to the hospital. Police said that construction work was on at well under Mnrega which was allotted to beneficiary Kharodhar Mahto. On Monday 9 labourers were working at the spot including four who were inside the well while the remaining were on the top. Suddenly the well caved in which four labourers were trapped inside a mud heap. Two of them were taken out immediately while two others ended up losing their lives. The BDO announced that the kin of both the workers will be given compensation of Rs 1 lakh. He said that due to rainfall two weeks earlier it was directed to stop works under Mnrega.
