Ranchi; The government has given the last chance to file a reply on the non-appointment of teachers for the education of disabled (deaf and deaf) children in the state schools. The court of Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad has directed the government to file its reply by July 8. Chhaya Mandal has filed a public interest litigation in this regard.

It has been said in the petition that the Disability Act has been implemented in the state. In this Act, there is a provision to appoint special children for the education of special children in government and non-government schools, but so far no such teachers have been appointed in any school in the state. According to the report of the State Disability Commissioner and the information received under the Right to Information, there are about three lakh special children in the state. But not a single teacher has been appointed for them in the schools. There is no facility for handicapped children in the schools. Neither ramps have been built nor special classroom arrangements have been made. Earlier, while hearing the matter, the court had directed the government to file a reply, but the High Court expressed displeasure over not filing the government's reply and gave the government the last chance to file its reply by July 8.
