Govt. promoting ethanol production with an aim to include Bihar among leading states

Patna, Bihar Industry Minister Shahnawaz Hussain today said that the government was promoting the production of ethanol in the state with an aim to include Bihar in the list of leading states in the country.
After reviewing a demo of Ethanol-based cooking stove, Mr Hussain said here today that following the implementation of ethanol policy, proposals for the installation of ethanol-based units in almost all districts of the state have been received and several of them have been approved in the first phase. He said that other proposals were also under consideration.
The industry minister said that several companies and investors were manufacturing products based on ethanol fuel in view of the state government's initiative towards ethanol production.
Highlighting various experiments being made in the field, Mr Hussain said that the results were encouraging.
