Itanagar: As many as 209 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state infection tally to 32,692, while the death toll rose to 159 as a 65-year-old succumbed to the virus.

Out of the new positive cases, Capital Complex reported the highest at 39, followed by Changlang and East Siang 22 each, and West Kameng 20, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Barring 88, all the cases are symptomatic.

According to the bulletin, a 65-year-old man from Changlang expired on Friday at his residence. He died due to Covid pneumonia.

On the other hand, 314 people were discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 29,934.
