A meeting with representatives of Durga Puja committees was held at Town Hall, Sidhgora, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi to finalize arrangements for idol immersion scheduled on October 2. The meeting was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Parwan, City SP Kumar Shivashish, ADM (Law & Order) Bhagirath Prasad, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal, Deputy Municipal Commissioner (NAC), Sub-Divisional Officer (Dhalbhum). BDO and CO of Jamshedpur Sadar, Mango CO. DSPs of Dhalbhum Sub-Division, police station in-charges, and other departmental officials.

During the discussions, ADM (Law & Order) briefed the committee representatives the preparations being made by the district administration. He said that all inmersion ghats will be equipped with proper security, sanitation, and other facilities. With water levels rising in the Subarnarekha River and the likelihood of water release from Odisha's Byangbil Dam on October 2, devotees have been urged to exercise extra caution. NDRF teams will be deployed at major ghats, with boats and trained divers kept ready to handle any emergency. Puja committees assured the administration that idols will be immersed strictly as per the prescribed routes and timelines. 

DC Karn Satyarthi extended his greetings to all puja committees for organizing Durga Puja with harmony and enthusiasm across the district, He stressed that safe and peaceful immersion is a shared responsibility of both the administration and the committees. The next 36 hours are crucial. Magistrates and police officers will remain on alert mode. While the administration is ensuring all arrangements, cooperation from puja committees is equally important for collective safety" he said.

City SP Kumar Shivashish directed all police station in-charges to conduct flag marches on the morning of October 2 and ensure drone surveillance along immersion routes. He instructed that no construction materials should obstruct the procession paths For pandals with tall idols, measurements of idol height and ghat gateways should be done in advance to prevent any difficulties. He further emphasized that vehicles in immersion processions must have valid fitness certificates and be in proper technical condition. Strict instructions wen were issued against driving under the influence of alcohol. "If any driver or devotee is found intoxicated, immediate action will be taken," he warned. Puja committees have also been asked to ensure their volunteers remain active throughout the processions With combined efforts of the administration and puja committees, officials expressed confidence that the Durga idol immersions on October 2 will be conducted safely, peacefully, and in an atmosphere of discipline and cooperation.
