Air India Crash Not a Mere Accident, Could Be Terror Attack: Dr. K.A. Paul Calls for Thorough Probe

New Delhi : In the wake of the devastating crash of Air India Flight AI-171, Dr. K.A. Paul, founder of the Global Peace Initiative, has extended his deepest condolences to the families of the 242 victims and called for a thorough investigation into the possibility of a terrorist attack.

The London-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed minutes after takeoff from Ahmedabad, striking a residential area in Meghani Nagar and killing all on board, including 169 Indian nationals, 53 British citizens, seven Portuguese nationals, one Canadian, and the entire crew.Offering his sympathies, Dr. Paul said the scale of the tragedy demands urgent answers. Citing his 40 years of international travel and aviation experience, he expressed serious concerns about security lapses and suggested the need to examine all possibilities, ranging from baggage tampering to remote-controlled explosives.

“This incident must not be dismissed as a routine failure. The loss of so many lives is not just a national tragedy but a global concern. Every angle—political, legal, and technical—must be investigated to identify any foul play,” he said. Dr. Paul warned that ignoring red flags could not only damage India’s aviation credibility but also affect its global standing and economy, particularly in tourism and international relations. He stressed that a swift and transparent probe would be a step toward justice and help restore global confidence. Urging unity across all sections of society, Dr. Paul called for peace and cooperation, emphasising that tragedies like this must not divide, but unite people in the pursuit of truth, justice, and safety.
