Chief Minister Attends 8th Edition of Bengal Global Business Summit 2025

EW News: Chief Minister Hemant Soren participated in the inaugural ceremony of the 8th edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit 2025 at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in Kolkata. The two-day summit is being organized under the chairmanship of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and is witnessing participation from several distinguished guests, entrepreneurs, and investors from across the nation and abroad. In his address, Chief Minister Hemant Soren invited entrepreneurs and investors to consider Jharkhand for their business ventures. He emphasized that such summits foster better trade relationships between states and countries, creating opportunities for growth through investment and new technologies. He said, The collaboration and participation between states is essential for building a strong, developed nation. Events like the Global Business Summit play a significant role in this. Significance of Global Business Summits: CM Hemant Soren highlighted the importance of such events in strengthening trade relationships and fostering development in various sectors through investments and technology.
Role of Jharkhand in the Nation's Economy: He reiterated Jharkhand's crucial role in the country's economy, being home to around 40% of the nation's mineral resources. The state is a major producer of raw materials for various industries, and has long been a hub for mineral-based industries.
Investment Opportunities in Jharkhand: Emphasizing the vast potential in Jharkhand, the Chief Minister invited entrepreneurs to invest in sectors beyond minerals, including arts, culture, and tourism. He stated that Jharkhand is India's largest producer of Tasar silk and has great potential in the textile sector. The state's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty make it an ideal destination for tourism investment.

Collaboration Between Jharkhand and West Bengal: CM Hemant Soren also noted the similarity in activities between Jharkhand and West Bengal, stating that both states are progressing in parallel and working towards mutual development. The Chief Minister concluded by inviting entrepreneurs and investors to explore the vast opportunities in Jharkhand, assuring them of full government support in fostering industrial growth and development.
