Delhi Court grants interim protection from arrest to Lakha Sidhana in R-day violence

New Delhi, A Delhi court  granted interim protection from arrest to gangster-turned-activist Lakha Sidhana in connection with the Republic Day violence.

Additional Sessions Judge Neelofer Abida Perveen granted interim protection from arrest while hearing Sidhana’s anticipatory bail plea.

Sidhana is accused of involvement in the violence which erupted when protesting farmers broke through police barricades on their tractors and clashed with them to hoist their religious flag Nishan Sahib at Red Fort.

Earlier, the Delhi Police had announced Rs 1 lakh as reward for information on Sidhana’s whereabouts.

Sidhana’s counsel Ramesh Gupta submitted that his client has no role in the incident and he did not enter Red Fort on January 26, 2021, post which the Delhi Police sought time to make submissions.

CJI appeals to resolve poor digital connectivity in rural, remote areas

New Delhi, Chief Justice of India justice N V Ramana has written to IT and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to resolve the poor digital connectivity in rural and remote areas as it is adversely affecting the pace of justice delivery.

CJI Ramana, during a book launch ceremony said, “The poor connectivity in rural, tribal, remote and hilly areas is adversely impacting the pace of justice delivery.’

Due to digital divide, lawyers were being pushed out of the system, the CJI claimed.

He also requested the Minister to help the young lawyers who have lost their jobs to the pandemic.

The CJI urged the Union Minister to give priority to lawyers and their associates as frontline workers in Covid-19 vaccination.

3 killed, 3 others injured as wild bear attacks villagers in Garhwa

Garhwa, As many as three men lost their lives and three others including a woman sustained serious injuries after they came under the attack of a wild bear in the forest located in Barkol village under Bargad block of this district.

Police said that the deceased has been identified as Anit Gidh (35), Sumit Gidh (38) and Raju Minz (40) while the injured included Chotu Gidh, his wife Mariyam Lakra and Kamlesh Gidh. The deceased and the injured hailed from Koriya Kodkar Tola of Barkol village.

The incident took place on Friday evening when these people were travelling through the forest back to their village. All the injured have been admitted at Sadar Hospital while the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

Palamu: In exercise of the power vested upon him under provisions of Jharkhand State Universities Act, 2000 (adapted) and as amended up to date, the Vice-Chancellor Professor (Dr.) Ram Lakhan Singh has been pleased to order Dr. K.C. Jha, Proctor, Nilamber Pitamber University, Medininagar to take over the charge of office of Registrar as a acting Registrar, subsequent to completion of the tenure of Dr. S.N. Singh to be relieved on 26/06/2021, afternoon, for joining the parent institution, Deoghar College, Deoghar, S.K.M.U Dumka.

This order will be effective till the appointment of Registrar either on the basis recommendation of Jharkhand Public Service Commission or the direction received from the Governor’s Secretariat, Ranchi whichever is earlier.

Dr. D.N. Singh is directed to hand over the charge of office of the Registrar to Dr. K.C. Jha, Proctor, Nilamber-Pitamber University, Medininagar. A copy of the receipt will be distributed to the concerned person, Principal Secretary to Honorable Governor, Raj Bhawan, Ranchi etc.

Govt preparing in advance to fight the third wave of COVID-19

Ranchi: The preparation against the anticipated third wave of Covid-19 has been paced up across Jharkhand. Doctors, health specialists and scientists have anticipated that the third wave may largely impact children. In such a situation, the government has paced up the speed of preparation. PICU i.e., Paediatric Intensive Care Units are being established across all the districts of Jharkhand. Chief Minister Mr Hemant Soren is personally monitoring every development and supervising the directing officials to establish child-friendly ICU beds in the government hospitals at the earliest.

All the districts are working on a war footing and PICUs are being developed in all the Sadar Hospitals and few CHCs across the state.

The Chief Minister has directed all the officials to equip child wards in government hospitals with modern medical equipment. This way, the infected patients in rural areas will be able to access the best possible treatment, free of cost in their locality. Apart from general child wards, dedicated child wards are being developed across all the districts of Jharkhand. These wards are equipped with infant ventilators, paediatric ventilators, Bubble CPAP, Radiant warmers, Oxygen supply facility and other necessary facilities.

The PICU wards are being painted with different kinds of child-friendly paintings. . The curtains, bed sheets and covers used in PICU wards are colourful and attractive to create a comfortable environment for children. Walls have been painted with illustrations of cartoon characters. Apart from this, to create a stress-free environment for children, television sets are being installed, a dedicated play area is being created in the courtyard and galleries of wards. Bookshelves are also being installed to keep multiple storybooks and other learning materials.
After the directions from the Chief Minister, every district administration started working on the development of a dedicated child ward.Ma ny districts have already completed the development of at least one such facility and are in the process of developing other units in rural parts of the state. Districts like Koderma, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Gumla, Latehar, Giridih have already completed the work related to PICUs.
In Ranchi, the development of a 27 bed PICU ward has been completed, and work is in progress for at least 40 more PICU beds. In the East Singhbhum district, work for the development of 30 PICU beds is in progress. A 20 bed PICU facility has been completed in the Koderma district. Giridih and Hazaribag districts are developing 130-bed child ward facilities across different CHCs and Sadar Hospital of the district. The work for a 70 PICU bed facility is near completion in Dhanbad and Khunti districts.
Hemant Soren, Chief Minister said Our government will not leave any stone unturned to create the best possible health infrastructure for our people and children. The third wave is anticipated but the government is preparing itself in advance to fight against the new wave. The second wave was a lesson for us; it helped us find the loopholes in our health facilities. But, this time we are preparing ourselves in advance. Officials have been directed to work out everything and roll out the plan in place. I am keeping a close eye on every development. We are trying our best to develop such a medical infrastructure across the state which will be witnessed for the first time in Jharkhand’’

ASSOCIATION OF STEEL EXECUTIVES OBSERVES BLACK BADGE PROTEST

EM News, Ranchi, A “BLACK BADGE” demonstration under the aegis of Association of Steel Executives, Ranchi (ASE)was observed by the executive collective of SAIL units at Ranchi on 21st June,2021 to protest against the inordinate delay in resolution of the following issues pertaining to executive collective of SAIL: Implementation of long due 3rd pay revision of executives, Pay anomaly of JO 2008 & 2010 batch and Ex gratia and compensatory employment to dependants of deceased employees due to Covid 19

It will be worthwhile to mention that the BLACK BADGE protest was observed as per the resolution of Steel Executive Federation of India the apex body of executive collective of SAIL in its virtual meeting held on May,2021 .

Speaking on this occasion, Shri A. Nag, President, ASE and Shri S. Pradhan, General Secretary, ASE thanked the executive collective of SAIL units at Ranchi and stressed that the peaceful demonstration programme will continue in a phased manner till the above issues are resolved.

133 new infected found in Jharkhand one dead active cases close to 1000

Ranchi: 133 new corona infected patients were found in the state. One corona affected patient died. 172 patients recovered and went home. So far 3,45,161 corona infected have been found in the state. 97,31,710 samples have been tested so far. There are still 1184 active cases in the state.

At the same time, so far 5107 people have died due to corona. The recovery rate in the state was 98.17 and the death rate was 1.47. This is higher than the national average. The the only patient died in East Singhbhum. 15 new infected have been found here. 12 cases of corona infection came to light in Ranchi.

At the same time, seven in Bokaro, 11 in Chatra, seven in Deoghar, six each in Dhanbad and Dumka, 15 in East Singhbhum, six in Garhwa, four in Giridih, one in Godda, seven in Gumla, two each in Hazaribagh and Jamtara. , Five each in Koderma and Latehar, four in Lohardaga, four in Palamu, seven in Ramgarh, 12 in Ranchi, one in Sahebganj, 15 in Simdega and four in West Singhbhum.

Ranchi’s private schools will not be able to increase fees, will only take tuition fees, action will be taken if orders will not be not obeyed

Ranchi; In the current academic session (2021-2022), private schools will not be able to increase the fees in any way. Like the academic session 2020-2021 by the schools, in the academic session 2021-2022 only tuition fee will be charged at monthly rate. No annual fee, traffic fee or any other fee will be charged from the parents till the school is closed.

The concerned fee can be collected from the parents on a pro-rata basis after the school starts. This order has been issued under the signature of Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan. It has been said that in the light of the order issued by the Directorate of Secondary Education, the said order has been issued regarding private schools.

It has also been said in the order that under no circumstances the enrollment of any student can be canceled due to non-deposit of tuition fee. Also, no student will be deprived of the online education system. The school head will have the full responsibility of providing online education system and online learning material to the students enrolled in the schools without any discrimination. Under no circumstances will parents be charged a late fee.

The Deputy Commissioner has also warned that action will be taken against the schools which do not comply with the above instructions. The State Government will cancel or reconsider the No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued to the schools for affiliation. Legal action will also be taken if needed. Apart from this, a district level committee has also been constituted under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner. This order has come into force with immediate effect.

The administration has constituted three teams to ensure compliance of the order and to investigate the complaints received. Akash Kumar, Anurag Kumar, Prakash Chandra Das, Amit Kumar have been included in Team-A. This team will investigate the cases of private schools located in Ranchi-I and Ormanjhi blocks.

Sanjit Kumar, Dinesh Prasad, Shailesh Kumar, Jitendra Kumar have been included in Team-B. Their work area will be the schools of Ranchi-II and Namkum blocks.

Team-C includes Sunanda Chandra, Mouleshwar Das, Paras Chandra Adhikari, Mo Shamshad Alam, Mo Alam. Their work area will be private schools located in Kanke, Ratu, Nagdi and Bedo blocks. Inquiry teams have been instructed that after examining the complaints received, the report should be made available to the District Education Superintendent within a week.

Robin Sahni a 12th class student first made fruit and vegetable generated electricity and now battery made from cement and zinc

West Singhbhum, Robin Sahani, son of Jalindra Sahani, a resident of Potka, Chakradharpur, West Singhbhum, has invented more than one new invention and that too economical.

These days Robin is in discussion with his own battery made from cement and zinc. Podahat SDO Abhijeet Sinha appreciating his effort and assured him of all possible cooperation. Even before this Robin has shown fruits and vegetables as well as detergent powder by removing electricity and lighting the bulb.

Apart from this, Robin has prepared pure paper from cucumber peel and waste paper. Robin tells that he has made a 10 volt battery using cement, zinc wire, carbon rod, etc. With this, the LED bulb can be easily lit. He also showed the bulb by lighting it.

Robin’s father, originally from Darbhanga in Bihar, roams around on foot in Chakradharpur and sells sweets for children. Robin is a Class XII Arts student at Marwari College, Darbhanga. Due to poor financial condition of the house, he is pursuing his studies by taking arts.

Robin tells that from the time he was in class six, he got the desire to become a scientist. He used to show the model of his experiment in science exhibition. Robin has been with his father in Chakradharpur for the last one and a half years to help his father and while staying at home, he does various experiments along with studies.

Sonu Sood came forward to help national shooter Konica Layak sent a German rifle worth 2.5 lakhs

Dhanbad,Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who emerged as a helper of the people in the lockdown, has sent a German rifle worth 2.5 lakh rupees to Konika Layak, the national shooter of Dhanbad. Not having a rifle of her own, Konika had to borrow from friends to play tournaments. The Hindustan newspaper published Konika’s troubles prominently. Konika had sought help from Sonu Sood by tweeting the news of Hindustan.

The financial condition of Dhanbad’s national level player Konika Layak was not such that she could buy her own rifle. Sometimes she used to participate in tournaments by asking friends. On March 10, Sonu Sood had promised to give a rifle to Konika by tweeting. Due to the arrival of this rifle from Germany, there was a delay in reaching Dhanbad. Konika told that on June 24, this rifle reached her. Konika said that Sonu Sood himself had talked to him by video call. Now she will be able to practice diligently.

Konika had made a request from minister to MLA to get the rifle

Konika told that she requested the Sports Minister Amar Bauri to meet the local MP to buy the rifle. But nobody helped. Seeing the continuous help being given by Sonu Sood on TV, he asked for help by tweeting. Konika has won more than a dozen medals at the state level. In the National Tournament in 2017, Konika scored the most points for Jharkhand.

Konika will go to Kolkata to practice after the lockdown. Konika told that Sonu Sood has arranged for her training in Kolkata. Konika will take training at the international class Jaideep Karmakar Shooting Academy in Kolkata. Sonu Sood will also bear the cost of this.
