Ranchi: Seema Kumari, the daughter of Ormanjhi of Ranchi district, who waged a war against the right to education and child marriage, has been selected for the Global Students Award. 4 Indian students including Seema are included in the list of top 50 students in Global Student Awards. All of them will be given prize money of more than one lakh dollars i.e. 70 lakh rupees.
During the Corona period, the daughter of Ranchi, Seema Kumari, who is trying to continue her studies in adverse circumstances and make her future better, has been selected. Earlier, Seema has also got a full scholarship to study at Harvard University. Seema has achieved this feat on the strength of her talent.
The parents of Seema, a resident of Ormanjhi, are illiterate. They do agriculture and work in a thread factory. Seema joined the youth football team in the year 2012. Along with playing football, he waged a war against the right to education and child marriage. Sometimes people used to make fun of Seema for wearing shorts while playing football. But, ignoring these things, the border remained on its target.
Seema says that she will use this amount to start a small business. Along with this, it will help the women of the village to make and sell rugs, so that rural women can become self-reliant. If there is no bathroom in the house, she says that she will also make a bathroom for the cousins, because they have to take bath in the public well. Also wants to spend some part to continue her studies at Harvard. However, she has also got a full scholarship to study at Harvard University.
Here, apart from the border of Ranchi, 3 other students of the country will also get a prize of one lakh dollars. Four Indian students have featured in the list of top 50 students in the Chegg.org Global Student Awards, which was started for the first time. Apart from Seema Kumari from Jharkhand, Kaif Ali, a 21-year-old student of architecture from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Ayush Gupta, a 23-year-old MBA student from IIM Ahmedabad and Vipin Kumar Sharma, a 24-year-old student of Central University, Haryana, are also involved. All four will be given $100,000 under the Global Students Award.
