Tejaswini WhatsApp group will protect women, RPF launches initiative for women’s safety

For the passengers coming and going from Ranchi Rail Division, RPF has created a WhatsApp group named Tejaswini. In this group, only women passengers are being added, who travel by passenger-express or passenger train for daily work. Women constables and officers of RPF are attached to this group. Through this, immediate action is taken on the smallest information given regarding help in WhatsApp.

In this regard, a female RPF jawan of the group told that the specialty of this WhatsApp group is that not a single male RPF personnel has been added to it. This group is operated by the lady RPF inspector Sunita Panna. There are 90 such women in the WhatsApp group, who regularly travel daily in Ranchi-Lohardaga, Hatia-Rourkela and Ranchi-Muri rail sections for jobs and other work.

In this regard, RPF Commandant Prashant Yadav told that every day women personnel working in RPF mark women passengers while on duty at Ranchi, Hatia, Muri stations. One who travels alone. These women give information about every activity happening in the train, suspicious person, men traveling in women’s bogie etc. in the group.
