Ranchi: After the announcement of the date of Mandar by-election, political stir has increased in the Jharkhand. The atmosphere of discussion has started in ruling and opposition regarding their respective candidates. Meanwhile, after the dismissal of former MLA Bandhu Tirkey from legislative assembly, now his daughter Shilpi Neha Tirkey has been nominated as a candidate from Congress for the by election. In the disproportionate assets case, after the end of membership of Bandhu Tirkey on March 28, the Mandar assembly seat is vacant, on which the election has been announced by the commission. This seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
Nomination for Mandar by-election is to be done by June 6. It is being said that Shilpi Neha Tirkey will file nomination on June 2. At the same time, scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on June 7, while nominations can be withdrawn till June 9. Voting will be held on June 23 from 7 am to 4 pm.
