Security force have got big success in Jammu. Major encounter with terrorists in Pulwama took place this morning. The encounter started after the search operation that started on Wednesday morning and till now three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists have been neutralised. One of them is a Pakistani national. The Inspector General of Kashmir Police said that incriminating material, arms and ammunition including 2 M-4 carbines and 1 AK series rifle have also been recovered from these terrorists.

According to official sources, on the basis of intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists, a team of police and security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Chandgam village of the district this morning. Meanwhile, the terrorists hiding there started firing. In retaliation, the security forces also opened fire. Three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists, including a Pakistani, were killed in the encounter between the two sides.

Inspector General of Police (Kashmir Range) Vijay Kumar described the killing of three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists as a big success. IG Kashmir tweeted, ‘Three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists including one Pakistani have been killed. Incriminating material, arms and ammunition including two M-4 carbines and one AK series rifle were recovered. A big success for us. This is the second encounter since Monday in South Kashmir. Two local terrorists were killed in an encounter on Tuesday in Kulgam district.
