Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched the Safe and Responsible Migration Initiative(SRMI) in December 2021. There is a large-scale migration of workers from Jharkhand for employment, but till date no concrete policy has been made for the safe and accountable migration of migrant workers. Keeping this in mind, SRMI has been started on the initiative of the Chief Minister. After Gumla, SRMI center will also be established in Dumka and West Singhbhum.
