Jamshedpur: ACB team from Ranchi reached Jamshedpur to investigate Jharkhand’s famous toffee, T-shirt scam. A three-member team of ACB visited many areas including Siddhgoda of the city and interrogated the accused faces of scams.

During their Jamshedpur tour, the team visited toffee supply company Lalla Enterprises based in Siddhgoda. The team questioned Kamlesh Agarwal, owner of Lalla Enterprises, and demanded documents related to the supply of toffees. However, in this interrogation, it has come to light that the purchase transaction was done by the then MLA representative Pawan Agrawal. Former CM Raghubar Das is former MLA from this seat.

Along with this, the ACB team also talked to the key officials of the Sun Temple located at Siddhgoda. The ACB team will now continue the investigation in Jamshedpur for the next few days. During this, by questioning many people including leaders, information will be gathered.

Significantly, the irregularities came to light when in June 2021, MLA Saryu Roy wrote a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren demanding a CBI or ACB probe in the toffee and T-shirt scam case. The Jamshedpur East MLA alleged that the toffee, T-shirt, song-music, decoration scam in 2016-17 was more serious than the Manhart scam.
